in january 2009 v b johnson llp chartered quantity surveyors, acquired dwa partnership, a watford-based professional practice established in 1984 providing financial, contractual and management services to the construction industry. i am now taking an active role in further promoting dwa partnership, having previously worked for it as a consultant our current and previous clients include most of the biggest contractors and developers in the uk more recently barratt, wilmott dixon, isg, st george, costain, balfour beatty. i have summarised the main services that dwa offer below:- • secondment of our in-house quantity surveying and project management staff for short to medium term commissions • technical services such as production of bills of quantities, estimating bills etc, variation accounts, forensic quantity surveying, bid management, programme management, etc. • specialist services such as advice in connection with claims and disputes. • building surveying services for commercial property such as party wall awards, conditions surveys etc. a full description of our services follows as members of the royal institution of chartered surveyors (rics), we possess full professional indemnity insurance together with public & employers liability insurance.
